If only this had hit the market a year ago. If so, I'd have a rack full of
G3's with MacOS X, big fancy SCSI RAID controllers and lot's of
RAM instead of Dell Pentium II's running BSDI. Not that BSDI is bad.
It's my favorite flavor of Unix but even with X it just doesn't make a
great workstation.
I'm going to buy a MacOS X license just to play with the BSD portion and
see if I can get all my "traditional" unix programs to play nicely with it
(like Cistron RADIUS, Apache (not a default install), ssh, rsync, etc.).
One machine, the power and flexibility of unix, the charm and ease of
MacOS.
