Importing usageFrom: Randy Ide Date: Saturday, October 5, 2002
Time: 11:27:38 amWe have a need to indicate what month usage occurred regardless of when the
file is imported and to automate the process. The process that generates
our usage on the radius is not instantly up to date at exactly midnight and
we need to account for usage in the proper month without being a day or two
off.
Also we want usage to be updated in opti at least daily. The auto task
usage imports with sql hooks assumes usage is either the current month or
previous month which does not work. We have been told that opti does not
pay attention to the time stamp in the import file when using auto task.
We are open to importing the usage records directly into the usage table in
opti if that will work, but we would need an example of how to do it and all
the fields in the usage table.
