Have removed and recreated the root.hints file inside of /var/named/conf =
and restarted. Still seeing the same sysquery error. Have also trashed =
and recreated the profile for query restrictions in QDNS manager also.

Any pointers?=20

Worst case is rebuild the server and restore a backup but am sure it =
must be something straighforward?

thanks,

dave.

Note that QuickDNS expects this file to be in=20
/var/named/conf/root.hints, not /var/named/db.cache.

Thus:

sudo dig @192.33.4.12 NS > /var/named/conf/root.hints

(The "." on the command line above is unnecessary, as this is the =
default.)
