Re: OptiGoldISP vrs ISPPowerFrom: Mike Oas Date: Sunday, March 21, 1999
Time: 9:32:31 am We're running Linux boxes for authentication and Optigold ISP has been an
excellent addition to our office. It used to take us 8-10 hours for billing
each month (focused on a 1-2 day period) - now I can do it in about 5
minutes. As well, the telnet account creation feature has added more spare
time for everyone - the on hold, release from hold automation is critical
for ensuring we control customers that haven't paid or are out of town for
extended periods of time. As well, Optigold ISP automatically sends invoice
and payment overdue emails, and then automatically puts them on hold based
on their account status (business versus residential for example). I have
no experience with ISPPower, but I do know that Optigold ISP has increased
our capabilities here two-fold. We're in the process of activating our
billing and account creation web interface and I can't wait! This product
has easily paid for itself. I hope this input helps your decision.
Cheers,

Subject: [Optigold-ISP] OptiGoldISP vrs ISPPower
I'm thinking about switching from ISPPower to OptiGold ISP.
Has anybody ever done this and more so, the real question:
Is OptiGold ISP really good for ISP's?
does it really add accounts to our unix boxes for ftp's and radius accounts?
Please respond with any info.
