Unused block hours roll forward optionFrom: Alan Williamson Date: Friday, October 18, 2002
Time: 11:00:19 pmHi Shawn,
I've just been taking a look at this new-ish feature as it may=
have been
of use to me... but it's not quite there for me yet!
Our block time product is intended for low-usage customers. We=
sell them
a block of time for use within a maximum of 12 months. If a=
customer
fails to use their block time within the 12 months, they need to=
buy
another block and forfeit their unused service. Your new feature=
will
handle this OK.
Unfortunately, most of the customers run low on hours before the=
12 months
is up. We invoice them when they have 10 hours left. Where such=
a
customer pays for another block within the 12-month window (ie=
before
their expiry date), their unused block time should roll forward. =
With
this new option set, the unused block time is lost regardless of=
whether
the 12 month period is about to expire or not.
I guess what I'm saying is this. I'd like for block hours to=
roll forward
UNLESS the invoice was raised because of a looming expiry date. =
Do you
think that could be done?
Regards,
Alan Williamson
