the missing data could be two things (my theory) (happened me several
times)

1) In the middle of an autotask process, the autotask machine lost
comunication with your DB server and then regained access but several of
your files were "closed" but not all. so, the mess started there. I'm
telling you this since once my switch went south an I found the autotask
machine with a screen full of fields (like when you create a new FM DB)
Seems like it was in the middle of a rebuild.

2) the GLOBAL (where all settings are stored) got corrupted, and/or while
an autotask event was performing, somebody did a change within this file,
while doing this OG somehow gets flu and you get accounts
deactivated/canceled.

Moral, NEVER change any autotask settings or Preferences while AUTOTASK is
running (since I stoped doing this no nasty things happened to me)

BTW, I had to "restore" a GLOBAL backup once since the one running had
missing info, and filling the info again did not do the trick

Suggestions: turn off and on on a daily basis the autotask machine, I have
this machine to automatically turn off at midnight,, and turn on at 7am
and obviously I NEVER change settting while this machine is running.
