Re: DUE DATEFrom: Dave Tanguay Date: Thursday, July 16, 1998
Time: 12:20:18 amHi Shawn,
Not if you adjust "Adjust Due Date XX Days Compared To Expiration Date" (under
invoicing preferences)
I have it set to 10 days. I don't like having the exp date the same as the due
date because...If I receive a new
account today and they wanted to pay by check, we first activate the account and
then give them 10 days to send a check.
If I had the due date the same as the exp date, and I sent them an invoice for
their inital payment,
it would say "Account Expires on <ExpDate>" This confuses customers... Think if
you received
an invoice that expired on the day you signed it up.
See how this can cause confusion? (Think from a new customer's point of view)
How can the account "expire" when they just signed it up that same day?
Also if I do not use stern wording, it will say it is paid throught the expire
date.
From the customer's point of view, they never paid anything yet, remember they
are a new customer.
Just trying to cause less confusion for the customer's sake.
Or maybe I'm just confusing myself :)
