This is true too... although the JDBC driver seems to be okay (not great but
doesn't suck big time). Aside from that though, it's probably better to use
the XML/CDML stuff because they are really just wrappers for a lot of
underlying code. If you start mucking with the tables directly you pretty
much need to do everything that all that code does already for you on your
own...
