Re: Duplicate Logins and emailsFrom: Lewis Watson Date: Wednesday, November 6, 2002
Time: 2:29:12 pmIt already knows that the default user domain applies, is this what you are
saying? Or are you saying that it can literally adds @domain.com into the
field? If the @domain.com is in the field then the username is free as far
as Optigold is concerned, I have tested this and this is the problem.
For instance I have a user 'kat'. She has an additional email address listed
as 'purr@domain.com' in the address field. With the address listed like that
if a new user tries to sign up using purr, Optigold thinks it's
available.... and tadah, instant conflict.
Now lets go back a step. If her additional email address would have been
listed just as 'purr', Optigold would have realized that the username was
taken and the address would still work fine because Optigold realizes the
default user domain applies(which is very nice).
So, what I am wondering is there a way to tell Optigold that
'purr@domain.com' is as taken as 'purr' if another user tries to create
'purr'.
Thanks.
Lewis
