Search Again: name server is only listed in delegation data From: Warren Michelsen Date: Thursday, November 14, 2002 Time: 11:59:23 pm I recently ran DNS Expert Pro on a domain I do not manage and it was reported that: The name server "not.the.realhost.com." is only listed in delegation data The server "not.the.realhost.com" is listed as being authoritative for the zone according to the delegation data, but there is no NS record for that server in the zone data. Delegation data and zone data should always match. It certainly seems a little sloppy but I'm wondering just what are the consequences of this error? How will operation be affected by the lack of a second NS record? (The zone only lists one.)
