where? in zone date and/or in delegation data?

don't change NS zone records without also changing the zone parent's
delegation records, because they must match.

is a useless effort. Your error is seen by DNS Expert
"dns.knowledgesharing.com is not listed in delegation data" and so it
useless as NS for Internet's purposes.

Internet queries the .com parents to find your NS's (the delegation data
and glue records), it does not query your NS's for this info.

>What I don't understand is why the registrars that we use (jumpdomain and

because that hostname is registered by the registrant with the domain's
registar.

when a registrant registers/modifies a hostname, it is actually an A record

ns1.domain.com A ip.ad.re.ss

you must not change this ip in the zone data without first changing it with
your registrar.

whois host.domain.com

... to see the entire record for the host, whihc is in fact entered to the
parent NS as an A record.

# whois dns1.knowledgesharing.com

Whois Server Version 1.3

Domain names in the .com, .net, and .org domains can now be registered
with many different competing registrars. Go to http://www.internic.net
