Synch for email/account passwordsFrom: Alan Williamson Date: Wednesday, January 1, 2003
Time: 9:06:05 pmHi Shawn,
We've been using the "Keep matching email password in synch with=
primary"
option in Server Events Setup to good effect, but we've noticed=
that it's
only works one way.
Using the web interface, if the account password is changed, a=
matching
email password is updated. If an email password is changed, the=
master
password for the account doesn't change even though the logins=
match.
On observing the web server machine while changing an email=
password (and
from monitoring the output of the events triggered), I can see=
that the
email password change event triggers and works as expected. =
Next, the
account password change event triggers (also expected), and=
resets the
password back to the master (old) password. The passwords in OG=
are
different after the fact; the email password has been changed,=
the account
password has not.
Tell me this is unintentional... yeah?
Regards,
Alan Williamson
