Re: Problems with Unable to reload the DNS ServerFrom: Men & Mice Support Date: Saturday, January 18, 2003
Time: 12:04:21 pmFor some reason, QuickDNS Remote is having trouble communicating with
the DNS service.
First, make sure named is running. You should be able to see it
listed in Process Viewer. If it's not running, try this command in a
Terminal window:
sudo qdnscontrol startnamed
If that solves the problem, you may need to fix the boot script for
QuickDNS. To do this, please refer to the instructions in this
knowledge base article:
<http://kbase.menandmice.com/view.html?rec=32>
If that doesn't solve it, or if that's not the problem, did you
upgrade to Mac OS X Server 10.2.x from Mac OS X [Server] 10.1.x with
QuickDNS already installed? If so, please follow the steps in this
knowledge base article:
<http://kbase.menandmice.com/view.html?rec=30>
