Correct... If you are running Mac OS X, you can run an infinite number of
clients concurrently on the same machine (Windows, you cannot)... so if you
really wanted to, a single Mac OS X machine can run Server, Unlimited (web
server), automated tasks and a 2nd client for an employee to work. If
that's not an option, you must run it on a different machine (or some people
log a normal employee workstation into automated tasks when they leave for
the evening, and use it normally during the day).

Correct. Automated tasks requires you to log in as your automated task
"employee".

Well, where you want to put your billing system is of course up to you, but
for me personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting my customer data on a
remote co-located server somewhere with no firewall protection.
