Optigold ISP isn't platform specific so Windows networking, file sharing
or anything else that is Windows specific has absolutely no bearing on it
whatsoever.
It sounds to me like you don't have the server actually serving the data
files.
Read "Chapter 2: Installing Optigold ISP", it has everything you need to
know... (It's available in PDF format on our website if you don't have
it).
