Spare MX

I had and (bad?) idea regarding the mailserver use and the DNS settings.

As mail is very important to us I figured how to mak a insurance to make
the system up and working if a catastrophe hits.

Running two mailservers mirroring each other makes a mess as they are no
(at least not with EIMS) simple way to synchronize accounts.

So what if I specify a MX to a server that do not exist yet? Then when
server one is gone with the building in one place I can just start the mail
server in the other place that is ready to go to work.

This means that the backup mail will never be there to receive any mail
until needed when the 'number one' is gone.

If I don't do this it would be a delay before an altered IP for the server
would find its way through the DNS system.

Would this make any sense?
