Re: uidNumber CounterFrom: Robert Canary Date: Friday, March 14, 2003
Time: 1:18:03 amIt makes it easier when tracking server side accounts, as well as
eliminates yet another script that must be run on the server(which
really isn't a big deal, probally not worth mention, but still...).
Anymore I do 99% of my adminstration by uidNumbers, scripting,
troubleshooting, logging, maint., etc. I can ask the server to give me
a uidNumber, but the problem is OG hasn't the facilities to take the
response of a query and use it for something the programer
needs....well..not on the events anyway.
SHawn: Here is an idea. How about one of the Assign buttons like you
have in the VCI on the broadband worksheet. And let us assing an event
to it so as whan you push it, it runs a call the same as would if you
created a new email or something. And take whatever is returned and
paste it in the adjacent field. One could then tell it to run a SQL
query or something to get a name or number. Sort of like when you do
usage querys......
_I_ think it would be useful...
