Location would be the region the customer lives in, but we have some
customers that send their payment to our main office, but others who bring
them in personally to a remote office, etc. So it really comes down to
mapping a PAYMENT to a deposit and a region. Only thing I could think of
was making our billing dept put a value in the PAYMENT Tag field that would
uniquely identify the time and place of deposit. Something like 050103Bank1
050103Bank2. If this is about the way you can think of doing it then we'll
take that approach. However I was wondering if we're the only odd ones out
there needing to map a payment to a deposit? I'm told it's for checks and
balances.

QUESTION: what is the best/easiest way then for our billing dept to
identify all payments that come in on a day - just go to search on payments
and see? Just wondering because in that list that comes up, you can't see
the tag so you would need to click on each one and it takes you to the
customer record and you then have to go thru the payments on that screen and
make sure you remember which payment it was and click on that to see or
change the tag value... Just curious if that's the only/best way.

Thanks,
Monica
