Here is my question
When I query my primary DNS ( marge.netextras.com) with DNS Expert, it=20=

says it is not an authoritative answer

I am switching to a new ISP and have transitioned my DNS servers to the=20=

new IPs as per Len's advice

snip----->
setup the old boxes to serve as NSs at the current IPs and cut them=20
into production whenever you want.

setup your production boxes to serve as NSs at the new IPs, and put=20
them on-line.

shorten all the TTLs in your old boxes to 15 minutes.

go to you registrar and change the host registrations for the NS from=20
old IPs to new IPs. these have 2D TTLs that you have no control over.=20=

as soon as yr registrar upoads the A records for your NSs with the new=20=

IPs, Internet will start querying your productions NSs at the new IPs.

2Days max after the the registrar modifies your IPs (glue), there will=20=

be no queries arriving at your old boxes at the old IPs, so you can=20
turn them off.

Query: marge.netextras.com. Query type: Any record
Recursive query: Yes Authoritative answer: No
Query time: 181 ms. Server name: n/a

Answer:
marge.netextras.com. 172800 A 64.201.182.2

Authority:
netextras.com. 172800 NS lisa.netextras.com.
netextras.com. 172800 NS marge.netextras.com.

Additional:
lisa.netextras.com. 172800 A 64.201.182.3
-----------------------------------

Should this concern me, What do I ( or my ISP) need to do to make me=20
authoratative
I have a subnet of 32 address
64.201.182.0-31

Thanks
