Re: load balancing on os 9From: Men & Mice Support Date: Wednesday, June 4, 2003
Time: 2:55:10 pmStep 1: Make sure you're connected to both servers, simultaneously,
in QuickDNS Manager. Make sure you're connected using hostnames, not
IP addresses - that is, in the Manager window, you see your servers
represented by hostnames and not IP addresses.
Step 2: Open the zone from the master server. Open the load balance record.
Step 3: Check the name servers listed at the bottom. Make sure both
of your servers are checked, and that there are no other name server
entries (IP addresses, etc.). If there are other entries, especially
if those entries are IP addresses, you're going to have a tough time
correcting it - it may be faster to simply delete and recreate the
load balance record.
