You can't "not" swing it... You almost absolutely have to. You cannot
expect to do it with DNS. However, if you have upscale providers with
an inkling of intelligence, they can easily assist in making sure that
your IP's remain routed to you, or incoming requests on those IPs are
routed to the IP/server of your choice even without the physical
connection. INSIST on this!

DOES NOT WORK! In theory yes. In reality? NO. My previous email
describes why.

The easiest and most reliable way is to use another box to redirect
incoming requests to the old IP address to the new IP address. Again,
if this cannot be done by you, it can by your provider and there is no
reason they should not be able to do this for you.

It'd be great if TTL's worked the way they are supposed to. But when
you have a few bad apples out there ignoring the rules, what can you
do? We owe it to our customers to insure they stay up!
