Slow server performanceFrom: Andreas Carlsson Date: Wednesday, July 9, 2003
Time: 10:52:18 amHi everybody!
I am not sure if this is a DNS-related problem, but I hope someone of
you fine people can answer me anyway! :)
We have finally made the switch to a new broadband provider, and
everything seemed fine until Monday. Then, the connection suddenly
got slower, slooower and slooooooower.... So, we called the provider
which suggestes that we restarted everything (ie Web, DNS, Mail,
Router, Switches, Hub and DSL modem). After that it worked.
So, today by noon, suddenly the Webserver didn't answer any calls,
and we couldn't access any website accept our own. We can ping
outside, and we can do ICQ. Our customers can access the mailserver
but not the Webserver.
The Broadand company says it's our fault, and we say it's theirs.
After all, nothing have changed on the servers!
Can someone please help me understand this...?
The webserver is located at:
www.kicknick.net, ip 62.181.204.85
QuickDNS-servers:
ns.kicknick.net, 62.181.204.83
ns2.kicknick.net, 62.181.204.84
And the mailserver at:
mail.kicknick.net, 62.181.204.86
I would really appreciate an answer,
Tia,
/andreas :)
