untitledFrom: Mia''s Virtual Post Office Date: Monday, July 14, 2003
Time: 3:44:28 pmI had a question about that cheesy DNSReport.com sites sometimes
inaccurate results.
I had the following warning for one of our domain names.
"WARNING: You have 8 nameservers. RFC1912 2.8 recommends that you
have no more than 7 nameservers."
I scoured RFC1912 for information on this and could find nothing to
validate this claim. Perhaps I am missing something, or was not
looking the right place. Either way, if this is the case can someone
pass on the actual paragraph in RFC1912 where this is covered. I am
really curious to know what ill affects can come from having more than
7 name servers.
thanx,
Regards,
Jeremy Anthony Kinsey
