Telnet to BSDI still not workingFrom: Serge Pluess Date: Monday, July 20, 1998
Time: 3:13:26 pmHi there
I am still having problems with the telnet session to the BSDI box (with
the new telscrpt.exe).
Attached you find a printscreen of the telscrpt.exe and it shows the Telnet
session being opened.
After saying OK to the debug message of the connection being successful the
window-title bar is getting the output of the terminal session (BSD
Header). Nothing happens in the main window.
After a while I get an error back saying:
There was a network error or Telnet Setup preferences are not setup
properly. Error: 12- Winsock: No connection.
The telnet setup is to wait for login:
then send the login name and wait for Password:
....
But it never actually gets to there.
Also I discovered that when you are in the main menu, click on Put
customers on hold, then click on Telnet (which in this case fails) you are
asked if you want to mark that entry as being on hold. Now even if you
click on No, the entry will disappear from the list. You have to go back to
the main menu and click on Put customers on hold again to get the entry
back in the list.
Greetings and thanks in advance for any suggestions on what is happening or
what I am doing wrong.
Serge
