SOA Refresh

I ran one of our domains through DNS report and got the following warning:

> WARNING: Your SOA REFRESH interval is : 28800 seconds . This seems

I looked in the QuickDNS manual, but I didn't see anything about DNS NOTIFY. Is this something I need to fix? (And what is DNS NOTIFY, BTW?) Thanks!
