Name Server Issue...

I have recently changed our domains to a new secondary service. I have
essentially shut down our NS2 server. However, when I go to the
registrar to delete the NS2 listing from the domain, it always comes
back and says that it failed because there are "domain names linked
with the name server".

We have about 20 domains, and I have manually checked EVERY ONE of them
to make sure that my NS2 server is not listed on them. In addition, I
have removed all reference to the NS2 server from my NS1 server.

A call to GoDaddy tech support resulted in a statement something like
this:

...even though none of your domains are listing the NS2 server, someone
out on the internet has used your NS2 nameserver on their domain, and
therefore our system won't delete it...

C'mon...really? Can this actually happen? And would it prevent me
from deleting my own nameserver from my own domain record? I'm more
inclined to think that there's something screwy with GoDaddy's software.

Is there some way to do a search on the internet to find out who is
"linking" to our nameserver?
