I would say you are exactly correct, you just had a c crappy experience
with a lousy provider. So compared to that, sure cable looks a lot
better :-) Overall, again, this is not indicative of DS1 or higher.
From both a telco and an ISP standpoint, DS1 or higher is treated,
normally with a great deal of care and immediate response. We had
PSI/Cogent in the past so I can attest to what it is like having a
horrible provider.

Like I said before on the SOHO end of things Cable can be just fine.
Would I use it for a business? Sure, but it depends on what I was
doing. Would I use it for my ISP? No. But again, there are
compromises to make. So if you can live without inverse DNS, and the
price point/reliability is where you like it, what more could you ask.

Well let me know if you ever do as I would be more than glad to help
point you the direction of reasonably priced reliable providers of DS1
or higher.

Understood.. Like I said, if it works for you, fine.
