Web Server Database

Trying to understand how this web database works.
Ok, so when our server is running, we need to run the Web Server
Automated employee, correct?
After we run this employee, we have to somehow start OptiGold so we can
run Optigold as usual and be careful not to close the WebServer database
login...correct?
Is there anyway to automate this, make the web server database run as a
service or something? Make it run all the time when Optigold is
started? Can I make the employees Automated to the Web Server Database
so when they logon in the morning, the Web Server Database logs on? I
will have to give each the user/pass for the Web Server database and
make sure everyone knows to start it and keep it running. It would be
nice if this was all automated where no one person would have to always
remember to start it or accidentally shut it down by closing the
OptiGold client.
Any ideas?
