Re: OSX Server wont use QuickDNSFrom: Thierry Almy Date: Monday, September 15, 2003
Time: 1:03:13 pmI installed the carbon QDNS Manager ans I'm able to connect to, as
you said, the loopback address.
But I cant't connect using my IP, even not on the same machine as
QDNS is running.
Of course I restarted several times.
My IP configuration is:
IP: 192.168.1.2
NM: 255.255.255.0
GW: 192.168.1.1
and I'm using 192.168.1.2 as DNS
The GW is an ISDN Router whitch is present in the network.
I can ping to 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.1. But pinging to 192.168.1.2
will tell "no route to host".
I've un- and reinstalled the hole stuff with no result. I have done
the same installation two or three times earlier and then it was
working well (on 10.2.4 Server).
I'm really puzzled ...
