By default, IIS creates a "scripts" directory in the Default Web Site when
IIS is installed. However, most people remove this directory as part of
their security lockdown. You can manually install the ISAPI filter that
the WSC consists of into IIS if you want.

I need to add users to vpopmail (qmail)
from konsol on the linux machine I type

/home/vpopmail/bin/vadduser user@domain.com password
It works fine
In OG I figured I would need the event to add this to be SSH
log into that then trigger

/home/vpopmail/bin/vadduser <Login>@domain.com <Pass>

however this doesn't seem to get it.

What am I missing here.

Subject: Error in Web Page when more than one person looks at an Invoice

Hello all,

Has anyone else seen and issue when more than one user looks at invoices
online with the web interface?

What we can reproduce is when a few customers are logged in and looking at
an invoice, others will get the default FMP IF error of 'invalid username'.
If enough different users are logged in and everyone is looking at invoices
the error will show up, but it does go away. It almost seems like the view
invoice script for the webserver is not closing the connection after it
returns the code. (IIRC it also shows up under the OptiSkins ASP
version...)

Thanks for any feedback...

Randy

PS Also, if anyone has taken the time to do a step by step (for us idiots)
instruction sheet for connecting via SQL I would appreciate a copy...
Thanks!

Shawn,

On 8/26, we issued a credit to a customer's credit card. The receipt
shows a transaction id number. The collected funds for credit card
transactions total correctly if the credit is included.

Jump to middle of September and the customer is calling because he
didn't receive his credit. I give him the transaction id info and advise
him to call his cc company since everything on our side shows it went
through. His company sends him back to us because they don't show anything.

I call our cc people who tell me the credit was issued on 8/26 but it
was issued to a different card number. All of the receipt records in OG
show the correct number. Turns out the credit was actually applied to
the account number for the previous transaction for this user.

How .....why......what.......??????????????

How do we prevent this from happening again?

Sorry, beyond a "double-click" install I don't know much about the inner
workings of FileMaker's installers. You probably will want to contact
FileMaker, Inc. on that one...

When did you install it for the first time? It should give you 20 or 30

That may have been done by your processing gateway. In order for credits to
be issued, many gateways (Authorize.Net and VeriSign for example) require
that the original transaction ID be transmitted with the new transaction, so
they would have been able to reference it from that. It's a security
"feature" of your processing gateway to prevent people from crediting credit
cards that never made a charge to begin with.

From Optigold user's guide:

Bank of America eStores

eStores supports realtime processing of credit cards via the CCAuthorize
plug-in. The only account type you need from Bank of America is the
"Standard Settle Up".

You will need to set the Referring URL under billing preferences to a valid
URL as you define for your eStores account.

So..... VeriSign is responsible for placing a credit on someone's card
who wasn't entitled to a credit even tho OG shows the credit going to a
completely different card???? It sounds rather strange that Verisign
would change the card info and not even notify us.

That's the only thing I can think of... Optigold sends the credit card it
records with the credit payment to the gateway, but at the same time it also
is required to send the old transaction ID that the credit is offsetting.
So if the old transaction ID was from a different card, my guess is that
it's crediting the card that the original transaction was for and ignoring
the credit card number that was sent with the credit request.

I ran qmail on a previous server and used to use the following command
sytax with OG.

vadduser -c "<EName>" <Email> <EPass>

I logged in as the vpopmail user and the account had the executable path
in the environment so it wasn't explicitly stated in my case. If you're
logging in as an account other than vpopmail it's likely the command
won't work.

Also in my case the Email parameter contained the domain already, and I
used EPass since the email address doesn't have to be the same as the
overall account that way. Allows more than one email per account more
easily.

I don't see anything wrong with yours though, but you might try quoting
the <Login>@domain.com part just to see if it helps.

Just my $0.02,
Ron
