SSH Set-up Question

For scripting using SSH there is a box for Host, Login, Password, and
Command, and then a plink session runs sending along that information.
Using puttygen I can set-up keys on either side, and using putty I can
specify some other things about the session and save the session as a local
name, then use plink from the command line, like: "plink.exe -l login-name
session command" and not send any password.
Is there any way using the SSH option in scripting to have it call
that local session-name instead of an Internet host name or is command-line
the only option for doing it that way?
Does that seem like an okay way to do it or am I just
over-complicating things?

Sam
