Yes, as long as the DNS service gets launched at boot time.
Currently, QuickDNS' startup script handles this (only on Mac OS X).

Yes. You would need to move at least the following file and directory:
/etc/named.conf
/var/named/
Note that if you don't put the data directory at /var/named on the
new server (because, for example, you want to use the FreeBSD default
of /etc/namedb), you'll need to manually edit /etc/named.conf,
/var/named/conf/logging, and /var/named/conf/options.
Of course, you can also install QuickDNS Remote on both Linux and
FreeBSD and continue to use QuickDNS as your management interface.

QuickDNS is now a management system for DNS servers, and no longer
the DNS service itself.
