I work on Win XP and I have installed Oracle9i Server version just recently. However, I have some problems to run it actually. I start Oracle Enterprise Manager Console Standalone. Service Name is StartDB, Hostname is lex, and Port Number is 1521. So what happens actually is whenever I click on Network/Database/StartDB Navigation Tree, I get dialog box to fill it out with username and password, but I always get the same error message which is "ORA-12535: TNS:operation timed out". Would anybody know what I should do to solve this problem? Or maybe you would need some more information? I would appreciate any suggestions as well. Thank-you, Tanya.
