Yes we do, and we've had only minimal problems with it (pretty
amazing given the change from Bind 8 to Bind 9). There's a knowledge
base article explaining how to upgrade to Panther [Server] from
Jaguar (or earlier) with QuickDNS installed.
We've also noticed some similar problems when installing QuickDNS
4.5.1 on Panther [Server] when the user doesn't install the Bind 8
component in the QuickDNS installer. The configuration needs tweaking
and the startup script needs to be adjusted in such situations.
The Panther Server DNS GUI does seem to be sufficient for basic
operations. But it lacks a lot of what QuickDNS has to offer,
including the syntax checker. Don't try to use the two together - if
you use QuickDNS, don't use Server Admin to manage any aspect of your
DNS.
