OKAY, here are the sequence of events i went through today to upgrade to
1.8.9...
1- i backed up all my USR and the old FM files, as i usually do.
2- i went and did the USR to FM deal using the batch file
3- downloaded and ran the recent datafile self-extracting archive for
version 1.8.9
4- started up OptiGold ISP, and setup the admin account
5- logged in as importold to do the importing of older data
6- followed the instructions for importing and all went fine...UNTIL
I got to the phone_.USR and OG just HUNG there, which then causes OG to
become non-responsive. Ultimately forcing the task to be closed with the
infamous MicroSoft three-fingered salute (CTRL-ALT-DEL) which also
causes corruption in the data files. I have gone through this exercise
three times and even tried it using FMPv4.02 as well as the FMP RT v3.0
supplied with OG.
Any ideas how to get around this? I need to enter some payment receipts
today and i didnt want to DOWNgrade to 1.8.8.
Thanks in advance.
