You could buy a used copy of "DNS and BIND" by Cricket Liu (O'Reilly) and
you will be able to follow along pretty easily (it's also an interesting
read into the history of DNS).

Do not fear the command line. Knowledge of the command line is power over
your server. BIND is very easy to administer from any text editor (GUI and
non). The learning curve is minimal.

Once you get into the flow of updating the config files, it's not that much
more work...yes you can make errors, but if you immediately check your log
after reloading BIND, you will catch any errors that you made.
