From: Mike Oas Date: Sunday, May 16, 1999 Time: 10:43:12 am Shawn, I have a request for a future version of OG... for your SMTP mailer, could you add a return receipt feature. Some sites support delivery notifications for messages that have a Return-Receipt-To: <senders-email-address> header. Thus, you could add this header to outbound email (you could define a setting for invoices, receipts, letters etc.). So, if the recipient's email client can handle return receipts (many do - Netscape messanger, Outlook etc) we can determine if someone has definitely received and read the mail. This will make it harder for the excuse "but I never received the invoice" B.S. It would be nice to define a return email address separately for invoices, receipts and letters... then I can have filters to parse them out and store them separately.
