yeah, there's a lot of stupid stuff in there. in a conference call with
visa and my bank, i was questioning visa about one of their policies in
particular. after a couple minutes visa cut me off, told the bank they'd
call them directly in a little bit, and ended the call.
but at the end of the day, i want to be able to accept visa cards from
people.

our auditors seem to think things are in good enough shape that they're
going to ask visa to waive the encryption requirement. so hopefully that
will work, or if not the OS level encryption idea will fly.
