Re: Mac OS X 4.6.1 - follow upFrom: Men & Mice Support Date: Wednesday, February 11, 2004
Time: 5:26:01 pmOn Mac OS X, the 'qdnscontrol' command was removed from versions 4.6
and later. Instead, the scripts in /Library/StartupItems/QuickDNS
should be used - they are QuickDNS, named, qdnsc, and qdnsr. Each
script takes the following arguments: stop, start, or status.
We will update the knowledge base soon to include instructions for
removing QuickDNS 4.6.x from Mac OS X.
If you started with 10.3, installed from scratch, and then installed
QuickDNS for the first time, then you don't need to worry about the
/etc/named.conf problem.
Please execute the following command on the server:
tar czf ~/QuickDNS.data.tgz -C /var named
This will create an archive containing your data, in your home
folder. Please send the result to <mailto:support@menandmice.com> for
analysis.
