Re: Can you use 4.6 with 3.5From: Jody McAlister Date: Friday, March 19, 2004
Time: 4:54:04 pmdid you start by importing them in? I'm not sure, but you may be
running into file permission issues if you just copied the files.
Plus, importing them will guarantee their format is compatible.
I didn't run into that issue, so I'm just hypothesizing here. Also,
did you enter the license(s)?
Or, if you are accessing the slave server, you can edit the slave
files. You edit the master files, and then have it zone transfer to
the slave. If this is the case , then it's normal.
Also, you are using version 4 on os x, not 3.5. You must have the
admin be the proper one. Admin 4.5 will not connect to QDNS 4.6, you
must use the same version of 4.6 Admin.
Hope that helps, I'll be gone in just a few minutes.
