Is there any chance you can add a feature or flag or both to a customer's
account that has leased equipment or equipment on loan? Even something
similar to the Paper Invoice Fee for equipment for those customer who pay a
Monthly surcharge to borrow or lease equipment. And then have an 'Equipment
Lease' box in the broadband section so that they can't close/cancel the
account without the account being flagged to collect the equipment first.
Just throwing out ideas now, Comcast is a good example of one that does this
as well, the customer's account can not be closed until equipment is
returned. We need some capabilities of that nature because more and more
customers are getting equipment on 'loan' rather than purchasing it
outright. And when they cancel, no one is realizing they have our equipment
on loan and we are losing it, it's currently in their notes section, but
that is easily overlooked.
