Search Again: Web Based Forum vs. This Email Based One From: Shawn Hogan Date: Friday, May 14, 2004 Time: 12:05:41 pm I'm thinking of moving this forum to be a web based one rather than an email based one. Email spam has become such a rampant problem that many times people miss things in an email forum (myself included). A web based forum would also allow some things an email system does not: - Better searching of existing topics - Classification of threads (bugs, feature requests, etc.) - Optional email subscriptions (if you want to be notified about a thread via email, you still can) - Private messaging between users (including us) so no need to rely on email Anyone have any objections, thoughts, etc.? - Shawn ---------------------------------- Shawn D.
