Re: Replacing a server running QDNS CentralFrom: Men & Mice Support Date: Thursday, June 24, 2004
Time: 8:58:29 amYes. The simplest way is to remove all of its zones, and then
reconfigure it from scratch. There are a couple of AppleScripts
included with QuickDNS Manager that will help you with this - "Delete
All Zones From Server" and "Add Slave Server".
Also, make sure you remove QuickDNS Central from the old server:
sudo -s
cd /Library/StartupItems/QuickDNS
./qdnsc stop
perl -pi -e 's {QDNSCENTRALD=-YES-} {QDNSCENTRALD=-NO-}' QuickDNS
rm -r /var/qdns /usr/sbin/qdnscentrald /Library/Receipts/QuickDNS*Central*
exit
