Time: 6:01:10 pmA secondary (backup) mailserver simply holds mail for the primary until
it can be forwarded to the primary when it comes back online. The MX
entry is only used in sending mail from MTA to MTA, not at the mail
client level. There are no mailboxes involved. It may be possible to
'load balance' a mail server, but unless you have extremely high
volume, not worth the trouble.
