Special Characters in HTTP scripts

The "official" Optigold ISP forum has moved:

I am having trouble with some http scripts breaking on special
characters and was wondering if some syntax or version upgrade will correct
them or change the behavior. If I have an HTTP script (for instance) send
username, password, first name, last name, and address there is a chance
that the passwords will contain almost any special characters (historical
ones anyway) or that first name will contain "&" (as in Joe & Sally) or
that the last name will contain an apostrophe (as in O'Malley) or that the
address will contain # (as in Apt #7) et cetera...all have a variety of
unwanted side-effects ranging from emptying the field in the http line to
stopping the http line cold at the special character.
Any thoughts? (OG 3.1.3, new scripting type, fm 5.)
