Re: Move install to another machineFrom: Men & Mice Support Date: Sunday, August 22, 2004
Time: 10:54:26 amIf you wanted to move everything, without installing a fresh copy on
the new machine, move the following (this list is specific to Mac OS
X):
/Library/Receipts/QuickDNS*
/Library/StartupItems/QuickDNS
/usr/sbin/qdns*
/usr/sbin/named
/etc/named.conf
/var/named
/var/qdns
Make sure you stop QuickDNS Central (on both machines) before copying
/var/qdns, or what you get will be corrupted. If you have any dynamic
zones, be sure to also stop named before copying /var/named. You can
stop them both, plus QuickDNS Remote, using this command:
/Library/StartupItems/QuickDNS/QuickDNS stop
To just stop QuickDNS Central:
/Library/StartupItems/QuickDNS/qdnsc stop
