Re: Problems resolving

I really think it is not a network speed issue. I have captured packets
to/from the dns and it looks to me like the dns is sending the the ip
address back but for some reason the browser is not accepting it.
For example in Safari on OS X 10.3.5 I type "yahoo" and hit return and
for following happens:
Start time 12:21:29.890293

QUERY NAME=yahoo.ihmc.us
QUERY STATUS=Name Error NAME=yahoo.ihmc.us
repeated 3 times
QUERY NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY NAME=www.yahoo.com.ihmc.us
QUERY STATUS=Name Error NAME=yahoo.ihmc.us.ihmc.us
QUERY NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY NAME=www.yahoo.com.ihmc.us
QUERY STATUS=Name Error NAME=yahoo.ihmc.us.ihmc.us
QUERY NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY STATUS=OK NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY STATUS=OK NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY STATUS=OK NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY STATUS=OK NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY STATUS=OK NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY STATUS=OK NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY STATUS=OK NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY STATUS=OK NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY STATUS=OK NAME=www.yahoo.com
QUERY NAME=yahoo.ihmc.us.
QUERY STATUS=Name Error NAME=yahoo.ihmc.us
repeated 3 times

End time 12:21:36.336506

then the browser reports "Safari can't find the server. Safari can't
open the page http://yahoo/ because it can't find the server yahoo."

I also tried putting in 3 forwarders from MCI and got the same problem,
just took longer for the browser to time out and give the error
message.
