Some people do not trust downloading binaries and would prefer to know what
is going on. Its nice to have the option either way. M&M is a trusted
source, but you never can be so sure as to compile on your own.

I am sure there will be with the next release of QDNS, at this time, it is
relatively new to even know how to fix this. I am sure M&M want to fully
test this before releasing it into the wild.
For what it is worth, it is not BIND at fault here, it is a pure nicety that
we have the "-4" option. This bug is a BSD bug, and one that Apple or the
BSD folks will have to ultimately address.
