Search Again: Stale DNS record From: a.h.s. boy (lists) Date: Wednesday, January 19, 2005 Time: 9:15:23 am I moved my secondary name server to a new machine (and new IP) some time ago, but I've been noticing that lookups for some of my domains are STILL listing the old IP address. The server was moved MONTHS ago, so it's not just a matter of waiting for propagation. For example, http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=dadatypo.net shows my nameservers as dns.dadatypo.net. [207.87.59.92] [TTL=172800] [US] dns.nothingness.org. [209.143.110.94 (NO GLUE)] [US] but dns.dadatypo.net has been at 65.57.104.61 since Nov 6, 2004. Can someone explain why this entry seems to never have been updated at the root servers?
