Some problems have been discovered in recent versions of BIND.

Problem 1: Versions 8.4.4 and 8.4.5 have a crashing vulnerability
involving recursion. If you're using an affected version, update to
BIND 8.4.6. More info:
http://www.niscc.gov.uk/niscc/docs/al-20050125-00059.html?lang=en

Problem 2: Version 9.3.0 has a crashing vulnerability involving
DNSSEC validation. If you're using DNSSEC, either disable it or
update to BIND 9.3.1 (when it becomes available). More info:
http://www.niscc.gov.uk/niscc/docs/al-20050125-00060.html?lang=en

Also note that the IPv6 problem involving Mac OS X has reportedly
been fixed in BIND 9.3.1b2 (without using the -4 switch), which is
currently available for those brave enough to use beta software.

We've also created a general knowledge base article regarding BIND updates.
